Federalists and Anti-Federalists
Before the US Constitution was approved for the government use, it was supposed to be ratified by the States. However, there were people who didn't want it approved. These "Anti-Federalists" argued that the Constitution gave too much power to the government, and that they would infringe on the citizens rights.. The Federalists argued that, since there were 3 branches of the government, it would not rob anyones rights, and, if they wrote a Bill of Rights, it would overprotect certain rights and leave others be.

Current Events December 9, 2010 (Quiz #2)
1) The article in BBC.com speaks about how the US is carefully watching China in terms of the country strengthening its military. When this article was written, it told of how for years, China had missles with nuclear warheads. But they had developed a way of launching these missles mobily. And they have developed a better way of refueling their airplanes, so China's air force would be able to fly farther away from home. The US is also scared because Europe might lift a weapon embargo to China, and it might sell equipment similar to what the US uses.
2) China, after the Opium Wars, was left in chaos and turnmoil. Great Britian had Extraterritorial priviledges in China, and most of the population in China wasaddicted to Opium. China was forced to keep certain ports open to British ships. And they had to surrender Hong King to Great Britian entirely.
3) Compared to after the Opium Wars, China is completely renovated from its chaotic state. Now, the US is one of the countries most addicted to drugs, and it's army is scattered in the Middle East. Chiona; however, is building up its military power in fierce numbers. Not just people, but their also building mobile missle launchers than might be able to launch warheads all the way to the West Coast in the US, and its air force might be able to fly farther than now, able to monitor ita "allies" or even their enemies, or their areas of interest. China's economy is the biggest in the world. The US' economy is still struggling.

Homework #3 (3MP)
SEPOY REBELLION!!! FORMER SOLDIERS GO AGAINST BRITISH!!!
Life has always been calm in British-controlled India. Th British controlled India, the people get something out of this. In fact, the people actually dressed in British uniforms and marched like a redcoat, until the British invented a new way of reloading their guns. They invented a paper case, with gunpowder and bullet inside. To use it though, they had to rip it open with their mouths. And to make it waterproof, the British used both pork and beef fat to lubricate the paper.
The cow is the most sacred animal to Hindus, and pork is forbidden to Muslims, so learning this fact, they decided to rebel.

With the British having control over the Indians felt that they were second class to the British in their own country. The Indians were discriminated by the British such as getting lower wages and lower positions. These feelings of Nationalism led to the founding of two Nationalist groups. As their feelings increased, conflict between the Indians and the British increased as well. Soon, they began to struggle over the control for India, which led to Indians uniting such as during the Sepoy Mutiny.
